Happy Saturday folks. We have a special gift for the listeners out there in Bwompland… Some drumsteppy goodness from writers Tate La Rock (1/2 of 3 Stripes) and Psymbionic. While most of you have met them here before, some of you may not know that they are quite the talented producers. Peep a fresh cut from our own Psymbionic who flips Daft Punk’s “Something About Us” and rubs it down with his characteristic happy sauce. Many remixes simply throw dirt and grime on the original for shock value, but this one updates “Something About Us” with an eager twist (while still keeping that Daft Punk melodic flavor). The slinky synth-work and slick beat in this remix should have no problem putting you and your special somebody in a good mood. Go on get bout it.

South By South West is a giant music, film, and interactive conference that takes place every year in March, and this year, Bwomp is throwing it’s first unofficial showcase with our good friends at Glitch.FM! Mixtape 002: Psymbionic

What we have here for our second mixtape is a juicy mixtape that is 1/3 purple crunk lovestep, 1/3 glitch hop, and 1/3 dubstep by our own Psymbionic. What starts off slow and sexy soon drops you into a heavy boomer of a mix that will make you swoon and/or grab your nuts. John has been honing his style and styling his sounds since coming onboard and has definitely dialed in a good one so far. The mix has a lot of primo stuff from a lot of upcoming producers, so check this one out.
