Psymbionic Goes Intergalactic

Psymbionic Remixes Intergalactic

Bwomp’s own Psymbionic has put together another super heavy banger for your listening pleasure. This time it manifests in the shape of a hard midtempo remix of The Beasties 1998 sureshot, Intergalactic. The perfect amount of heavy and FUNKY drums mixed with some solid back shakin’ bass. I can’t wait to test this one out on a LOUD soundsystem, it’s definitely going to be catching the folks by surprise. And as an added bonus, Psymbionic has included an instrumental(!!!) for your mixing, mashing and blending pleasure.

Psymbionic – Illusions

Today we’re excited to announce that Psymbionic‘s debut EP “Illusions” releases on Made In Glitch. Listeners will get a little bit of everything in this release, showcasing John’s diversity and ability to delve into different facets and landscapes of bass music. Tired of the same old, same bro, mosh-step? Then this EP is for you.

Buy “Psymbionic – Illusions EP” here

“The title track “Illusions”, featuring San Francisco MC Joe Mousepad, takes a page from UK Grime and shares some Garage energy with the more diversified “Amalgamaelstrom”. Both “Oscillating Orbs” (w/ ONE4ALL) and “Space Monkey” stylistically derive from instrumental hip hop roots, presenting engaging rhythms and shuffle. “Scooby Don’t”, a collaboration alongside A/V artist Pharo brings up the rear with heavy vibes and a spooky overtone.” – 40hz Media

Here’s a freebie mashup of Chromeo’s “Night By Night” with “Space Monkey” from the EP:

Fakin Jacks and Giving It Away

Happy Saturday folks. We have a special gift for the listeners out there in Bwompland… Some drumsteppy goodness from writers Tate La Rock (1/2 of 3 Stripes) and Psymbionic. While most of you have met them here before, some of you may not know that they are quite the talented producers. While we don’t normally do this kind of thing, these tracks were just too juicy to keep from yall. I’m proud to present yall a little taste of what these stand up dudes brewed last month.

First Psymbionic’s frantic bouncer:

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away (Psymbionic Remix)
If you dig Psymbionic’s RHCP remix, the instrumental is available on his bandcamp)

And 3 Stripes’ awesome sample-ridden heaviness:

3 Stripes – Fakin Jacks (Mobb Deep, Styles of Beyond, Inspectah Deck)

Something About Psymbionic

Peep a fresh cut from our own Psymbionic who flips Daft Punk’s “Something About Us” and rubs it down with his characteristic happy sauce. Many remixes simply throw dirt and grime on the original for shock value, but this one updates “Something About Us” with an eager twist (while still keeping that Daft Punk melodic flavor). The slinky synth-work and slick beat in this remix should have no problem putting you and your special somebody in a good mood. Go on get bout it.

Send John thanks by looking out for his EP coming soon.
