Mixtape 002: Psymbionic

What we have here for our second mixtape is a juicy mixtape that is 1/3 purple crunk lovestep, 1/3 glitch hop, and 1/3 dubstep by our own Psymbionic. What starts off slow and sexy soon drops you into a heavy boomer of a mix that will make you swoon and/or grab your nuts. John has been honing his style and styling his sounds since coming onboard and has definitely dialed in a good one so far. The mix has a lot of primo stuff from a lot of upcoming producers, so check this one out.

Ridin’ the Knight

Knight Riderz, an up-and-coming glitch-hop/dubstep group straight out of Canada, burst into the scene with their single “Hold On” some time ago. Since then, they’ve cooked up a flurry of amazing originals and remixes with no sign of stopping in the near future.

With high production value, grimey basslines, and sick glitches, these two are for sure ones to keep an eye on in 2010.. and it looks like many already have! In what seems to be a very short time, they have scheduled releases signed to amazing labels such as Muti Music, Made In Glitch, and Propa Tingz’ label, True Movement. And for good fucking reason! These cats threw some tunes our way, including an exclusive remix of “Ayoba”, and “Voodoo” with some amazing use of Jimi Hendrix guitar samples. Make sure not sleep on these!

True and Not Just A Hobby

Last week’s party went off without a hitch and I think you can safely say we are 2 for 2! Thank you to all the beat freaks who came out to the party and/or the Ill Gates Workshop. Big ups to METAVERSE who flew out from BOSTON to join us. You are MVP for sure my man.

In less than a week, BWOMP! will be launching its first weekly in LA, aptly titled BWOMP! Thursdays. If you’re in the area, come out and party with us and see how we gets down with sound! On a related note, Low End Theory, the maestros of bass music weeklies, have released a podcast mix by resident cutmaster D-Styles and The Glitch Mob. Plenty of unreleased tracks to be heard from these badbwais. Both mixes are off the fetters.
