A master of the production arts, bass architect Ill.Gates finally delivers his second full length LP, entitled “The Ill.Methodology”, slated for release on Muti Music October 3rd (as Muti’s 100th release)! A whirlwind of synthesized subscapes blend perfectly with thick, bouncy drumwork in this 18 track anthology of all things Gates. Teaming up with some of the bass scenes biggest moguls such, Gates explores the spectrum with collaborators such as Bassnectar, Datsik, Opiuo, Samples, Vent, and Ana Sia, just to name a few.

 
You can preview all of the tracks from the LP at Ill.Gates new website, and don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Ill.Methodology hitting stores October 3rd. To keep us tied over, Mr. Gates has let slip a slamming dubstep tune with Captain Hook, plus a beefed up Bassnectar refix. Get on it!

Been diggin’ on this guy Opiuo since I first heard his tunes a la Acid Crunk vol. 2 (Muti Music). Glitchy turbo crunk 2-step-hop at it’s finest, and pretty to boot! Opiuo is definetely going places, as shown by his rule over the Addictech Charts for the year. The dude is currently booking a US/Canada tour for the Fall, so keep an eye and ear out!


Opiuo recently released an EP for free on his Bandcamp, entitled ‘Physical Symptoms EP’.
