Speaking of Major Lazer, the video for “Bubble Butt,” directed by Eric Wareheim just dropped today! Getting steady rotation on FM radio stations and featuring Bruno Mars, Tyga, and 2 Chainz, “Bubble Butt” is undoubtedly Major Lazer’s first real mainstream single, a fact that makes Diplo’s risky decision of picking Wareheim to direct laudably bold. Why you ask? Well for one, he directed this.
#TrapTues 22
And Memorial Day weekend is over just like that. Don’t you fret though. We’ve got some heaters to start your week off in the form of a hot Major Lazer remix of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s Can’t Hold Us, a twerk-worty collaboration between Brillz and the legendary Z-Trip, Favela trap insanity by Munchi, and a creative little jam by up-and-comer Lightshapers called “Tweeters.” God damn today is a good day for music.
Major Lazer – Playground (Bird Peterson Remix)
We could spend a post every week on Bird Peterson tracks and he would have at least a new month’s worth of songs by the time we finished. Dude makes so much fire! The first time I posted about Bird Peterson, he was making electro house. Even back then his remixes and style were impeccable. He knows how to pick them. This sexy Cadillac rumbler of a Major Lazer remix just came out an hour ago. Time to cruise the block and disturb some neighbors.
