King Fantastic EP – Holding Court Over Suckas

King Fantastic - Death of Summer Cover

I have to say, King Fantastic is doing it the right way. Consisting of two LA veterans, Killer Reese One (Bleu Collar) & DJ Troublemaker (Backyard Bangers + Rad Omen), the group has been on the relentless grind since dropping their debut record, Finger Snaps & Gun Claps last year. Self described as “Westcoastsynthesizerbeachbumgangstermusic”, their sound is a concise yet wide range of influences, from Dre to Bassnectar, Quik to Datsik. Do you get the picture? Bass music went gangter rap, or is it gangster rap went bass? Whatever it is, their low end is immense and bumps hard in the club, trunk and iPod. The mix of Troublemaker’s tracks against Killer Reese One’s personified rhymes and flow is a match made in… well? LA.

So here we are as they announce their new EP Death of Summer dropping at the end of August with the first cut off the EP, Locals Only. Locals Only picks up where their album and remixes leave off, but one thing is for sure, you will understand that Killer Reese One is not someone you should really mess with.

Make sure to follow King Fantastic on Le Twitter as Reese is one of the funnier/no holds barred folks on there.
