Texas Part 2 (Shows from An-Ten-Nae and Mimosa)

Well, I just got back home today, and all I can say is.. WOW! What a raging time it was in Texas.. with the highlights definitely being (among other things) shows from An-Ten-Nae and Mimosa. These cats from Muti are not only goofy, but they sure know how to rage a party! Aside from An-Ten-Nae giving acid to hobos in the street (ok, I might be SLIGHTLY exaggerating), and Mimosa deciding he didn’t want his DJ table anymore during his set (and subsequently raging it all the way off the stage, gear come tumbling after..), these guys were NUTS! They showed Austin what real dubstep and glitch-hop is about, and Austin ate it up (I guess it just goes to show that even ACID KRUNK?! is bigger in Texas..)! I foresee big things there in the future.. muhuhahaha!


I just wanted to take a second and thank artists who are down-to-earth enough to actually interact with their fans and the people who make this ever-growing community what it is. It’s always nice to get great feedback from people even when you know they’re just as busy as any and everyone else in the world, only they also are many times on the road. So, to artists such as thee, I salute you!

Symbiotic Whoa

Once in awhile an event comes around with a lineup that blows other lineups out of the water. The Symbiosis Gathering is one of those events.


A 5 day outdoor event in Yosemite National Forest brings just about the BWOMPiest set of names known to bass music culture under one roof (of foliage). Leaves and needles will fall from perennial trees and pebbles will roll from century old hills. As if the electronic acts weren’t enough to get your juices flowing, the Symbiosis Gathering is a complete music festival. 5 days, remember? BWOMP: One

Different shelf. New book. First chapter: FILL IN THE BASS!


Today is a week before a very special date… for the first time ever, L.A. OFFICIALLY gets BWOMP’ed! What does that mean? I have no idea! But if you go to FILL IN THE BASS on the 21st of August, you’ll know. It’s about time to show these motherfuckers that it’s true and not just a hobby, which… it is, but I digress.


We have been working very VERY hard on this! Our “committee” has gone from six people huddled over drinks at the Medusa Lounge to almost triple in size of bass maniacs investing not just their hard earned cash (and a little easy money), but their time and effort to make this party possible. If you’re in the area on 8/21 come get loose with us, support your underground, and be part of the BWOMP massif!


It will be all night… it will be renegade… and it will BWOMP!
