Wildstyle

Hey, you. Yes you. Bassnectar has a new EP coming out October 19th, called “Wildstyle”. What, you didn’t know? Well, now you do. Also, you should download this track, because Bassnectar loves you.

Also make sure to check out this dope video compilation from the last tour — big ups to miss Lia!

Eskmo – Cloudlight

Not even sure what to say about this video. It’s strangely trippy and ethereal, while still being a bit twisted and mildly disturbing. Regardless, very epic! Can’t wait for Eskmo’s release on Ninja Tune, due out in October.

One Foot In The Grove

A dope little video by Barry Pilling of Mutate Britain’s ‘One Foot In The Grove’ exhibition.

Mutate Britain is a collective that takes art out of the gallery and into the city. OFITG was held under the Westway Motorway Bridge in the UK and features some amazing street artists. If any of you Mutate Britain cats ever come down to LA, this is just the kind of art a BWOMP! party needs. *hint hint*

If the work speaks for itself (which it clearly does) then this track ‘Vodka is Evil’ by Rebel Sonix is a screamer! Buy the single along with Ankle Grinder at Audiojelly.

BANG!!!

The Stanton Warriors are currently in the studio hard at work on their as-yet-untitled new album and are gaining renewed respect for their remix of Rye Rye’s ‘Bang’ (featuring M.I.A.).

Dominic B (one half of the Warriors) said, “It’s just a remix but it’s been going off.  This mix is a taste of what we’re up to. We’ve been working with a lot of US hipster hop rappers and singers on the new album.  For us this remix is straight up club thumping music”.

Stanton Warriors laid down a fresh new sound with the seminal ‘Stanton Sessions’ that was instantly signed to XL Recordings. The mix saw off competition from Fat Boy Slim and Deep Dish to win Best Album at the Dance Star Awards, and again at the Muzik Mag Awards where they beat Dave Clarke and Danny Tenaglia, whilst the mix recently featured in Mixmags top 50 best compilations ever industry poll. Skint Records brought together Dom and Mark’s killer versions of Gorillaz’ ‘Feel Good Inc’, Alter Ego’s legendary ‘Rocker’ and Azzido Da Bass’s ‘Dooms Night’ amongst a great deal more on ‘Remixes’. The compilation perfectly showcased the Stantons sound and made it clear why DJ Mag included them in their recent list of the ‘50 Best Remixers Of All Time’”

Sick crunky crack music on the glitch tip.
