Delta Heavy Gets Massive

DELTA HEAVY is killing it out of London, England. Crossing over from their primary domain of DnB, this awesome duo has been producing some killer dubstep/electro remixes of late.

Last month’s epic remix of Nero‘s Must Be The Feeling got a lot of love and immediately became cemented as one of my favorite edm songs of the year when Adventure Club dropped it at their show at Higher Ground late last month.

Delta Heavy’s dubsteppy streak continues with their latest remix of Fixer’s Iron Deer Dream. As I gave it an initial listen, the aesthetics surprised me; the blaring, whining synths lines are still there but are much more subdued and fluid than in their Nero remix. The energy moves well in this song, and the essence of the lyrics are reflected well by the adventurous synths and murky bass. All in all, a great Spring track as outdoor activities begin to be accessible again and as the windows in our cars begin to slowly find themselves lower and lower.

Ugly Up In Here

So our man Lorin Bassnectar has been hard at work and putting the finishing touches on his next release, “VAVA VOOM” set to release April 10. In anticipation of it and just to give you a sneak taste, here’s a cut from the album entitled “Ugly” (produced with Amp Live). Taken from the man himself: “We want to let the ugliest kid ride first, because ugly is beautiful, and sometimes we like our music rugged, raw, and berzerk.” Amen sir.

Netsky

This is Netsky, the Belgian DnB stud who has been busy promoting his self-titled album. I was digging through my iTunes library the other day and realized that I had forgotten about one of my all-time favorite songs: Netsky’s remix of Jessie J’s ‘Nobody’s Perfect’, put out many months ago. A flowing and powerful DnB tune with a dreamy, cunning synth-line and a knowing fluidity that will get you moveing.

Peep this free download of ‘Pirate Bay VIP’ after the drop, and also check out his latest VIP retake on his classic remix of Rusko’s ‘Everyday’ alongside the original tune ‘Secret Agent’, out now on Hospital Records 15 Year Compilation. Lastly, be sure to check him out on twitter and hit up his website for updates and tour dates.
