2-Man Raid

Its been big news for many that Panty Raid, the Marty Party and the Glitch Mob’s Ooah, just released their LP “The Sauce.” If you know who they are not much more needs to be said about this duo except cop this album NOW at Marine Parade. Like disappearing after a drunken-one night stand, your neck will love you, then it hate you the next morning. Here are two tracks from the album:

PantyRaid – Beba (Edit) from Marine Parade

BWOMP Like An Egyptian

This Friday the BWOMP! crew will be having it’s second warehouse party. We’re following up last month’s Fill In The Bass with something a little more exotic. We hope to keep it going in sick fashion, and this time we’re decked out in Egyptian funk, with stilt walkers, live performances, and of course, the DJs. Get ready for HIEROGLYTCH!

This weekend, rockin out for you will be Demon0ne, Sati, Rudelgin, JByrd, Cade from Dynagroove, Ruff Hauser, Nanda, Audiovoid, and last but not least, Ill Gates, the Phat Conductor himself (performing with Masia One), who will also be teaching a 4 hour workshop on Thursday for you music and Ableton producers. It will be a glitched out, bass-ridden, dirty night of beats for sure. Check our Events page for details on both events and the Workshops page for presales on the workshop.

To get you started and wet, here are two remixes by Ill Gates:

Depeche Mode – Wrong (Live) (ill.Gates + Adam Duke Remix)

85 BPM

The Lonely Island – I’m On A Boat (ill.Gates + Freedom Danish Remix)

75 BPM

BONUS: Here’s a tasty mix by Audiovoid:

Symbiotic Whoa

Once in awhile an event comes around with a lineup that blows other lineups out of the water. The Symbiosis Gathering is one of those events.

A 5 day outdoor event in Yosemite National Forest brings just about the BWOMPiest set of names known to bass music culture under one roof (of foliage). Leaves and needles will fall from perennial trees and pebbles will roll from century old hills. As if the electronic acts weren’t enough to get your juices flowing, the Symbiosis Gathering is a complete music festival. 5 days, remember? If you’re looking for a dope weekend of music, you will find one here.

Some of the notable acts include Les Claypool, Coco Rosie, Amon Tobin, Bassnectar, Freeland Live Band, Caspa, Flying Lotus, Glitch Mob, N-Type, Pretty Lights, Beats Antique, Bluetech, an-ten-nae, Heyoka, Lipp Service, Mimosa, Of Porcelain, Vibesquad, Welder, Babylon System and over a hundred more. Check out the entire lineup here.

1, 2: Freddy’s Coming For You

Freddy Todd, another name from Detroit has been making waves in my players. A multi-talented musician, Freddy’s applied his skills to dropping dope synth-heavy bombs that, in true BWOMP fashion, has compelled me (several times) to yank my iPod out of my pocket wondering, “WHO THE HELL IS THIS?”

I’ve had the pleasure of stumbling upon Freddy’s soundcloud a few months ago and have been a fan since, thanks to the consistent sickness of his beats. His collaborations include side projects Tone Poets and Cave Systems and tracks with D-Town hip hop artists Breezee One, Mobil, and Black Mike. Detroit… got the city on lock!

Freddy Todd – Tastes Like Cereal

85 BPM

Freddy Todd – This Is Not Business (Mobil Intro Version)

95 BPM

Freddy Todd – Star Trek Shit (feat. Black Mike)

87 BPM

Freddy Todd – Grind Baby (from the Ghost Dance Messiah EP)

95 BPM

Freddy Todd just released his new Ghost Dance Messiah EP that includes the featured “Grind Baby” along with 7 other tracks. Available for free for a limited time!
